ABOUT
Education and Experience
I earned Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the prestigious Indiana University School of Music, with majors in music composition and choral conducting.

My Texas Teacher Certificate (All-Levels Music) was earned at the University of Texas at El Paso. I also did further doctoral-level studies at the University of Texas at Austin.

I taught high school and junior high school choir for thirty-two years, in El Paso, Socorro, Houston, and Katy school districts. My choirs were consistently successful in concert and sight-reading evaluations, and many students were successful in solo, ensemble, and All-State competitions.

I have also been involved in many aspects of church music for over fifty years: leading worship, arranging, working with adult, youth and children's choirs, handbell ensembles, and accompanying worship on piano and organ.

I have extensive experience working with Finale music editing software.

I have also taught private voice lessons for many years, mainly to high school students.
